01

Standalone quickstart

HappyToHelp is free MIT source in its public repository.

You need
  • Node.js 26.8.1 or newer
  • pnpm 10.12.4
  • Git
  • A Cloudflare account, only to host it online (Workers, D1, R2, Queues and Durable Objects)
Then run

git clone --branch v0.2.1 https://github.com/just-every/happytohelp happytohelp cd happytohelp node scripts/install.mjs

The installer
The installer opens a page in your browser before anything is installed, asks only for what it cannot discover, and lets you choose this computer or your Cloudflare account. Nothing is installed or deployed until you approve.
With your agent

When your coding agent runs the setup, start the installer with --agent: it waits for the agent to connect and supply the answers, and you still approve before anything is installed.

node scripts/install.mjs --agent

Every option
The installer guide lists every option.
02

Every path keeps

MIT code
The source stays free and MIT-licensed. Paying for help changes nothing about the licence.
Clear custody
Standalone and Assisted use your Cloudflare and GitHub accounts. Managed uses the operator cloud and a private repository.
Visible AI usage
Assisted and Managed each include the monthly AI credit shown on the plan, for management and update work. There is no automatic overage; you approve any additional paid work.
A way out
Ending a paid plan does not take away your source licence. The Terms set out cancellation, export and handover.

Questions worth a straight answer

How do I join Assisted or Managed?
Both are in early access. Request early access opens an email to support@runeditrun.com with the plan in its subject, and onboarding is hands-on.
What happens if I cancel?
Assisted keeps the deployment in your Cloudflare account and the source in your GitHub repository. Managed uses the operator cloud and a private repository; management, update and new-deployment authority ends at the end of the paid period, with a documented export and handover path.
What does it cost to actually run?
Standalone and Assisted keep Cloudflare, GitHub and any outside services on accounts and keys you choose, billed to you by those providers. Managed’s monthly price includes operating the operator cloud and private repository; the product’s own AI and other outside services use separate provider billing and keys where required.
Why pay for MIT code at all?
Payment buys deployment, management and update work, not permission to use MIT source. The included AI credit is for that management and update work.
What do you get access to?
Assisted needs access to your Cloudflare and GitHub accounts. Managed runs in an operator cloud and private repository. Review the access you grant and the exit terms before you join.
